Join tribu flamenca Dance Theatre
at the O2 Glasgow Mela Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow
on SUNDAY 19th JUNE 2011
to celebrate the Glasgow Mela’s 21st birthday
It's free to all
Glasgow Mela has grown to become the country’s biggest multi-cultural festival.
The carnival, a focal point on Scotland’s cultural calendar, will take place from 12 noon until 8pm on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June 2011. Before now it was only ever on on the Sunday.
Now across two days the event will welcome a host of new features and can accommodate more big name acts than was previously possible in a one day programme.
More information on O2 Glasgow Mela 2011 can be found at www.glasgowmela.com
To underline the multi-cultural nature of the Mela some of the most exciting dance groups in the country have been invited to perform across the weekend and will feature styles including Flamenco, Chinese, Brazilian and Scottish.
A wide range of other attractions and activities are being staged as part of the O2 Glasgow Mela including an area dedicated to children, The Kidz Zone. Add in to the mix street theatre, arts, cultural exhibits and a trader bazaar with fine foods and the O2 Glasgow Mela is set to be the biggest and best celebration yet.Click here for more details
